National pride and national assets

I m quite upset to see that Annis campagin is claiming that Maumoon has made several personal assets over the years and recently I saw a video which showed the presidents palace, boats, Aah Rah island as his gains- now if this was shown to the islanders or less informative community with limited access to various resources then they would of course belived this rubbish and been misled by Anni or MDP like they have always done to the people.

But the fact of the matter is that this is all for any president whether Maumoon or someone else, these are government property and matter of national pride. Like any president of any country, these are assets we have to be proud of and we want our leader to show the rest of the world where we are and when they come to welcome and have them in these.Whether it is Anni or not, I am sure they will want these and god forbid Anni will perhaps have golden boats, private jets and so on. Now Anni is someone who says something else and does soemthing else.

So caution MALDIVES !!!

I would like to share this over rated and misled story about Mohamed Nasheed(ANNI), who self proclaims to be the so-called ‘Maldivian Nelson Mandela’, though it is sad to see that people who drew this contrast have no idea who on earth is Mandela to compare him to Anni, who clearly has a personal agenda, known liar, proved thief and a man with no ethics, discipline or respect for the common man.

8th October 2008 we witnessed history in the making when Maldivians voted for the first time in a multi-party election. It was clear who the maverick was, yes Maumoon Abdul Gayoom who secured 40% of popularity, and the now Anni has the audacity to say people doesn’t want Gayoom but him, where else he only secured a mere 25% to come second. Therefore 75% of Maldivian doesn’t want Anni, so it is time he accepts this defeat before ‘BULHLHBE’ gets chased out of Maldives by the silent majority.

Let me also shed some light on who Anni has behind him, what is his real agenda, why he is not the reformist or Mandela he portraits him to be, and most importantly why he is NOT CHANGE for the Maldives, but rather CHANGE FOR WORSE.

Anni is an ex-convict, proved thief, a known liar and a man who has a mouth bigger than himself. He has always had the tendency to grab the attention of the wrong people to join him, majority of them been ex-convicts, drug addicts and so on. Early in the formation of the MDP the party, Anni joined Mohamed Latheef(Go Go) to form in 2005 where the first elected president Ibrahim Ismail(Ibra) quit the party shortly as he believed Anni had an agenda of his own and wasn’t sincere to the people of Maldives. Thereafter many leaders in the party and one of them been the founder himself Go Go Latheef defected from the party and called Anni a liar and a dictator. Thereafter the newly elected president himself Dr. Mohamed Munavvar resigned. Thus this portrays that the party didn’t have any leadership or the credibility to sustain in a short span of time thus a person been the Chairman of the party, Anni who could not run a party thus how on earth can he run for president of a great nation and serve the majority.

It was well known that Anni rigged to win in 2007, the primary elections within the party to become the candidate and many others have evidence and credibility to prove this, and therefore he had made several enemies within the party such as Reeko Moosa and many of others who joined Jumhooree Party.

Then let’s ask who supports Anni and finances his campaign and party. Do you all remember the horrors of 3 November 1988 terrorist attack on Male which claimed the lives of 19 soldiers and civilians making it the bloodiest terrorist attack in the country’s history. Guess what? The mastermind behind the attack Ismail “SIKKA” Manik who is Anni’s uncle. Both Nasheed and Manik’s families are infamous in the Maldives for opposing elected leaders and causing civil disturbance. SIKKA is a known chief advisor to Anni, and through him calls all the shots in MDP. SIKKA presently resides in Colombo and enjoys returns on several investments; income was big real estate, resorts and so on, to fund MDP and Anni’s campaign. SIKKA is responsible for the lives of several young hero’s, one of them been Shaheed Hussain Adam, so you want to elect ANNI knowing that a murderer like SIKKA is behind him and runs the real show.

Friends of Maldives (FOM), have you heard of them? Recently they become quite famous and big supporters of MDP. Run by a guy called David Hardingham, a known missionary to spread Christianity. Now ask yourself why on earth does any organization in UK want to be our friends and help us, today we live in a world of hypocrites and no one is anyone’s friend without a reason or agenda especially coming from a guy like David who works for a church movement. Anni campaign is clear evident is supported and funded by the Church who has long been trying to spread Christianity all over the world and unfortunately Maldives is a country this mission wasn’t possible for last 30 years due to the iron fist of Gayoom but now all of us need to be worried that MDP is determined to make Maldives multi-religious after all they are only been helped by the west for this reason only.

Anni has been playing the sympathy card all along saying how badly he was tortured and making up all sort of illusions to get the attention of the innocent people, and recently I saw him speak to the fishermen and Dhoni captains in the Male’, what bull he was going on about, what lies? This is a guy who had resorted to “Fireball Democracy”, the vulgar manners and disrespect Anni has clearly show he has no character nor the ability to be a leader other than for his friends - the drug addicts.

He is a guy who tried to kill our economy by funding a company called ‘Tourism Concern’ in UK to kill tourism in Maldives and stop tourists coming to the country to bring down the government knowing that out country’s one third income is from tourism and hundreds of thousands of people depended on this for their bread and butter.

Anni’s supporters say that it is because of Anni today we have freedom of speech, well then I can say it is because of Gayoom today we are living the life we are in today, the clothes, the phones, the lavish lifestyles we have is thanks to Gayoom. In 1978 Gayoom had a decision to make to either take the country forward or backward, then there were no NGO’s or pressure groups so of course he could have done whatever he wanted like the African leaders but he choose to lead the nation to development and faced several obstacles but slowly he moved a country small as ours towards forward and prosperity. What ever rights we have today is because of Gayoom, what ever reform he gave us is because he wanted and not because of any threat from any country or NGO. Look at an alternative Gayoom had if he had all this pressure from the West, look at the Sri Lankan president who is breaking all the rules in the books of the West and not depends on the aid from Europe or US but turned his back on them whether Amnesty or whoever, and now depends on countries such as Russia, India, China and Middle East, who knows that the West has always promoted their ideology because during the Cold War in 1940s the West saw their so called ‘ideology’ or way of life more superior than the rest and promoted in the name of ‘Containment’, but the whole real idea to get the small countries to depends on the West and take advantage of trade ties to drain the income and money from those countries, and Anni has sold himself to these sort of people and wants to sell his country to them.

Anni is also a big liar as in 2005 March, he said Gayoom will not even get 2000 votes in Male’ and if he does Anni will quit his political career, this is also a guy who said he doesn’t want to be the president of Maldives but changed what he said then. He is also a greedy, power hungry guy who will have all his family in power like in his party now if he is elected the next president. He has a big agenda and will kill, take revenge against many people and families if he comes to power. And build Churches and sell the country to the West. Is this what we want? Is this the freedom or CHANGE we want? Do we want to sit by and let our country be taken over by people like Anni? Do we want this for our future kids or generation? Is this the CHANGE we want?
